Medical Smartphone Attachments Save Office Visits

December 22, 2014 by Rob Farber Leave a Comment

Devices like the Peek Portable Eye Exam Kit, CellScope’s Oto Home offer both convenience and security to diagnose medical conditions at home, without requiring transporting a crying child to the doctors office. Smartphones are proving to be a huge platform for medical devices as equipment that used to cost hundreds or thousands of dollars (like an oto scope) can now be had for under a hundred dollars that makes it easy to perform remote medicine. Not only do these devices enable virtual house calls by a qualified physician, but they also bring quality medical care to places that a doctor may not be able to reach easily.
