Mono 3.8.0 is now available and provides better performance and availability on more Linux variants. In addition, the Window 64 port is complete (although it must currently be built from source on Windows). Mono is an open source implementation of Microsoft’s .NET framework that makes cross-platform development possible using C#, F# and other .NET languages. Binaries can run unchanged on systems that support the mono runtime like Windows. Mac, Linux and Android. The TechEnablement tutorial provides code that show how to integrate mono into a Google Protobufs, click-together streaming data management framework for large data and deep-learning using multicore, GPUs, and Intel Xeon Phi.
